Studies reveal that a significant number of tween and teen girls struggle with low self-esteem, with research showing that around 70% of girls aged 8 to 17 feel they do not measure up in some way, whether in appearance, academic performance, or social relationships. This lack of confidence can profoundly impact their lives, leading to issues such as poor academic performance, social withdrawal, and mental health challenges, including anxiety and depression. Girls with low self-esteem are also more likely to engage in risky behaviors, such as substance use or unhealthy relationships, as they may seek validation in harmful ways. Furthermore, low self-esteem can hinder personal growth, making it difficult for young girls to advocate for themselves, pursue leadership roles, or set ambitious goals. Addressing this issue through supportive environments, mentorship, and programs that promote self-worth is critical in empowering girls to thrive.

THE FUTURE IS FEMALE is a movement started by the creators of Your Fairy Godmother Couture and Child Couture Magazine in an effort to show tween and teen girls how beautiful they are on the inside AND outside and give them the opportunity to be a star for the day. I am HONORED to be one of only 22 photographers participating in this magnificent movement for 2025!

One of the most popular and talked about movies of 2025 is Wicked, the extraordinary musical based off of the Gregory Maguire book, which was based off the classic Wizard of Oz. Both tales tell of young women, lost and misunderstood, who just want to find their own path and stand up for what they believe in. In both stories, these young women find that their power was within them all along- they just needed to believe in themselves.

"You are Magic" is for girls ages 8-18. It is for young women who deserve to be celebrated, to feel as beautiful as they truly are, and to have an experience that is all about them. From the personal consultation, hair and makeup styling, choice of GORGEOUS Oz Inspired gowns, and fun photoshoot- to the event itself with the snacks, drinks, music, and dancing- and then being published in a real magazine (first four to book are guaranteed)! This session is all about creating memories your little lady will NEVER forget, and art they they can cherish for a lifetime!

"You are Magic" is a unique portrait experience for our enchanting girls out there! Starting with a personalized consultation so I can get to know your tween or teen, they will then come to our Future is Female Experience where they will get their hair and makeup done, put on a one-of-a-kind Oz inspired gown, and have a photo session with music and dancing. We will also have swag bags, snacks and drinks for our girls and their parents! Afterward, your she can pick her 5 favorite images to be edited and delivered as social media sized digital files and her favorite image will be fine art printed on a 20x30 poster to put up in her room so she will always be reminded of how awesome she is! On top of that, the first 4 girls to reserve a spot will receive a feature all about them in Child Couture Magazine! More bonuses for the first 10 to book!

I will have access to these 5 Wicked/Wizard of Oz-Inspired dresses the weekend of June 19-24. Sessions will be available multiple times each day.

The You are Magic Sessions will take place at my home studio in Four Corners, Florida.

As I was saying above, this generation of girls have so much to compare themselves to- from movie stars, to their favorite musicians, to social media influencers- and sometimes it is extremely hard to tell the truth about someone from watching a reel or video short. I want to show these girls that, while going through these big changes in their lives, they are still beautiful. I have seen time and time again, a dream portrait session can go a long way in helping these girls believe in themselves and see how special they truly are. I believe that EVERYONE should get to experience a customized portrait session, as it can be life-changing!
